harlem globetrotters

sunday february 17 a day that i will never forget! I had the chance to suit up for the washington generals against the harlem globetrotters.  the generals were extremely nice and allowed me to enter the game in the 2nd quarter.  i was guarded by showtime who told me to shoot. i did but unfortunately missed 3 in a row.  i was knocking down jumpers in practice but missed in the game.  the next time down the court i drove past showtime who fouled me.  he kept interrupting me while i was on the foul line, which i didn’t mind, and i actaully drilled one out of two free throws! i think i was cheering louder than any other fan at nassau coliseum.  it was a honor and privilege to play on the same floor as the globetrotters!  i recommend it to anyone who has  a chance to do this because it is something i will never ever forget!

  • I saw that game and you were hysterical! What an awesome experience to play with showtime and the gang! Don’t fret about only getting a foul shot! I would be proud if I were you!To make that foul shot was probably harder than making a shot from from the field because everyone is quiet and all eyes are on you in a foul shot verse the harried jumper from downtown. It shows your test of character to make it – especially with the threat of showtime standing right near you – who knows what he would do!
You are great on TV – I hope to see you national sometime soon – you are too good to stay in local sports !!

  • I love the Globetrotters! I’m so happy to hear that they are no longer marooned on Gilligan’s Island. Keep up the good work.
